Crafted in England from FSC-sourced wood, the Makai reflects a commitment to sustainability and quality craftsmanship, and is available in four signature wood finishes to complement your décor. The shade is made from Sinemay, a fully natural and sustainable material derived from banana plants, adding a delicate texture and organic charm to the design.

Founder Daniel Fosbery’s experience grew from Copper & Silk, the specialist lighting workshop established in 2010. Fosbery Studio carries that knowledge into an accessible collection while retaining the attention to detail and making skills associated with bespoke work.
Craft, engineering and choice
Products are made locally by a multidisciplinary team using a blend of hand skills and modern manufacturing. Customers can combine finishes, timbers and fabrics to shape a piece for an interior, supported by the studio’s design and engineering expertise.
