Product Details
This beautiful design uses the 'Itajime' Shibori technique to create the striking graphic repeat. Itajime, is a shaped-resist technique where the cloth is folded in various ways then placed between two pieces of wood, which are held in place with clamps or string.
The shapes and the way the fabric is folded act as a resist which prevents the dye from penetrating the fabric.
Gorgeous abstract patterns are then created using this magical method.
A stunning palette of blues (ranging from indigo to sky blue) makes this design a perfect partner for the Maximalist interior lover.
Made and printed onto soft short pile velvet in the UK.

Tatie Lou is a British interiors brand founded by printed textile designer Louise Wargnier. Known for intricate patterned wallpapers, fabrics and homewares, the studio brings together shibori, hand-dyeing traditions, botanical detail and contemporary colour.
Each Tatie Lou print begins as original artwork before being developed into colourways and applied across wallpapers, fabrics, cushions, lampshades, blankets and table linens. The result is a joyful, layered collection for interiors with warmth, character and a strong sense of craft.
Inspired by nature, Japanese craft and the decorative richness of India, Tatie Lou creates pieces for homes that feel expressive, artful and full of imagination.
